This neck expander plug is .462" diameter, for loading lead .462" sized bullets, for a perfect fit without deformation, in .45-70 Government, .45-90 WCF, .45-100 2-6/10" Sharps, .45-110 2-7/8" Sharps, and similar .45 caliber cartridges. The length of the Lee die body limits the expander plug's use, in most reloading presses.
Oversize bullets are often ideal for use in Model 1873 & 1884 Springfield trapdoor rifles, and the replica Sharps rifles by Pedretti (marked E.M.F., or I.A.B., or Powder River), in .45-70 or other .45 Sharps, with oversize bore dimensions.
